Watch as the stars fall into to the earth
As the small boy dreams since his birth
For a never ending peace to commence once again
Hoping it extends to his family, his neighbors, his friends
He sighs, closes his eyes, and wishes to be free
From the heavy chains that bind him for all eternity
Poverty, famine, blood lust, disease, war
People get what they need and just want more and more
But you can’t get upset for who can blame them?
We will all do I, over and over again
He opens his eyes, now angry and flustered
Reached into his heart and pulled all the courage he could muster
“I shall not wane,” he yells, into the dark night
“For in this never-ending dark, I will be the light”
Across the globe, youth yelling just like him
Who knows? Maybe dreams will actually win.
